About me
Hi there! My name is Niels. I'm the photographer behind Hallway Vision Photography.

During the daytime, I work as a Computational Science Engineer for a Technical University. There, I support a department that wants to understand the interaction between human activities, the Earth system and our living environment through the combination of observational data science and physical modelling.
I'm quite proud and happy to work there as it allows me to play my part in making sure we take care of the planet that we love.
My passion for photography
Photography is my passion. I love to create photographs that captivate, inspire and move people within.

Time seems to move so quickly sometimes, but every once in a while there are these moments. An outburst of laughter. A quiet smile. Or someone just staring into the distance, completely in their own world. These moments can pass by so quickly they are gone before you know it. You might even miss them if you are not looking.
For me, photography is about creating and capturing these moments, freezing them in time so we can love them forever.
The fact that I do not depend on my photographs for my livelyhood enables me to create the photos that I am most passionate about.
And this website
The name for this website 'Hallway Vision' comes from my favorite movie: "The Breakfast Club" by John Huges. It is a movie about five high school students in detention who discover how they have more in common than they thought.
The name refers to the moment when they get stuck in the hallway and John hands Andrew his sunglasses and says: 'Here. For better Hallway Vision'.
It is an important moment for me, because for me this is where they start working together, overcoming their differences and appreciating their similarities. It is also an invitation from John to Andrew to see things through his eyes.
This website is an invitation to see the world trough my eyes, the people in it and the way I perceive them.
